Our first November Impossible Story is featuring Ada Oliver of Oliver Creative! Ada is from Scottsville, KY and recently opened up her own business there. She says the best thing you can do when conquering an impossible is to, “Remember that God gave you your dreams for a reason, He didn’t give them to anyone else, they are yours.” We couldn’t agree more!
A: I never thought it would be possible to work for myself doing the work I enjoyed the most. My entire life I have been working for someone else and spending all my energy on other’s dreams.
A: I never thought I’d be able to give up a steady paycheck and consistency in financial income. To let go of what was comfortable and safe and take a scary leap into the unknown was frightening.
A: After I told my husband what I wanted to do, we made the leap together. It was scary not knowing what the future would be like, especially for my planning husband. We had just bought our house and it was not the ideal time for inconsistent income. But with careful planning, prayer and faith, I took the leap and quit my corporate job to pursue my dream of running and owning my own business. It has taken a lot of diligence and discipline, with hard days for sure but some very rewarding moments already.
A: If you’re facing something that seems impossible, remember that God gave you your dreams for a reason, He didn’t give them to anyone else, they are yours. Therefore, know that He has equipped you for this very moment. And when it seems like you’re not the person for the job, remember that our weaknesses are made perfect with His strength!
